I just wanted to say a few things on the Catastrophe. We had an event at the bar in September and now have another one coming up next weekend.
Jason is great! He basically let the Mississippi Rollergirls take over the bar. Let us skate all over the place. Set up booths. And run the show, basically.
I was really hesitant on having our event there because: a) there is a great lack of parking (we have 25 with us in skaters and crew), b) it is all the way out in gautier (most of us live in and around biloxi), and c) they are currently only sell beer (that would be a personal issue. ha. we hear by the new year that will change.)
However, when we got things kicked off...everything fell into place! Jason's staff was super nice to us. We even got to show a movie about roller derby during the event. The bands got to rock out. We made lots of $$ for the league. The turn out was way better than I thought it would have been. It really was a killer event.
