| I had a sears silver tone that looked exactly like that in the body, the give away was the on-off switches for the p/u's. It was a very cool guitar until it met a untimely death in my sons room. The guitar took a nose dive and broke the neck right where the head started and while I owned it since 79 it was not worth repairing. I threw the guitar away, on a original gibson the p/u selector have never been a on/off like those switches, and sears used that type of tremlo and look at the bridge, I bet its a very thin alum or brass without the ability set it up properly. My silver tone also had a huge issue with the g string binding on the nut. All said its a great find, there are so many things out there to help with learning guitar, before spending any real money (I have only gotten through the first page of comments) run through the internet there are loads of free web sites to start with.
