now is the time to record for a summer release!

yo gulfcoast area bands-

if you've been telling your fans to expect a new cd this summer....now is the time to start working on it! i'm currently neck deep in projects that need to be release before may 1st, and am starting to book projects for march/april that need to be released before june 1st for summer promotions/festivals, etc. you remember what summer is right? it's when the sun comes out, people drink beer outside, and tons of music festivals and conferences start happening.

so, check the date on the back of your "new" cd....if it's "born on" date was before summer '05, it's time to get something new to the masses. you may choose to think it's not important, but the release date is huge. it's the first thing many people in the industry look for- press and reviewers don't want to push or review a 2, 3 or 4 year old disc, and conferences/clubs want to book bands that send in current material so they can be sure what they hear in the press pack will be what shows up on stage.

check out my site at www.chrismara.com and/or www.myspace.com/chrismara . if you have questions about recording, i'd love to hear from you and answer them for you. if i'm not the guy for you, i'll try to help you find someone that will work better for you. i record rock bands for a living, and work with bands that have all sorts of different goals and budgets- if you're having trouble deciding what the best course of action should be- give me a shout and we'll talk a bit and try to figure something out that will work for you. just because you may not know where to begin, doesn't mean you shouldn't start!

rock out.
