Well you know Matchew, the funny thing is that the Republicans in the Senate share your view that this will hurt small businesses and so they added an amendment that would give tax breaks to small businesses to offset the increased labor cost of the min wage hike.

Ted Kennedy (another champion of the little guy) is enraged and as a result the min wage hike is being held up until they can get rid of the tax breaks. I guess Ted feels that the only people who deserve a tax break are drunk drivers who kill their passengers and swim away.
