Nice theory, Ben. But consider the possibility that once it became common knowledge that the pain one feels when attempting to cross the border is only a trick induced by a device with a maximum range, the would-be border jumpers will just keep on running until they escape the range of the weapon.

Then the only difference would be that said border jumpers would have to suffer a little imaginary pain to enjoy the freedoms we take for granted.

Personally, I'm a little tired of all these "border solutions" I keep hearing from people. I know it's not practical considering finances and the budget and whatnot, but why can't we just share our freedom with others? Or better yet, why not just conquer mexico and force our freedom on them?

I don't spend my time trying to figure out how to keep poor people from enjoying the benefits I am granted by birthright. When I do think about it, I think of ways we could make it possible for anyone to enjoy this melting pot of a country. Yeah, it is unrealistic. But the more time we spend thinking about that instead of pain guns to hurt people who just want to be free, the more likely we are to find a viable solution.
