This (carbon offsets) is merely a thinly disguised ponzi scheme whereby big polluters like Al Gore are given a pass. The article mentions the "effectiveness" of companies planting trees (hello Arnold Schwartzenegger) to offset carbon.

Under the currently accepted Gore-carbon-offset-morality, Hitler most definitely was NOT an anti-semite. Al Gore is paying himself to pollute and Hitler was paying himself (as head of the German gov't) to kill the jews so Ellie Wiesel step aside.
