nope- not downtown, but close. i can't disclose the names of those involved-gotta protect the innocent
seriously though - it's a good friend of mine who had a commercial studio here in nashville for many years, then decided to take his toys and hit the beach and "only work on what he wants to work on" and he told me that i can "bring projects there if the peeps are cool"....so that makes it kind of an 'invite only' type of a place....but not in the stuffy kinda way.
i've brought a few bands in:
burnt floore
project jones (from nashville)
anthony ainsworth (with consumption backing him up)
it's a great way for me to get out of town and get some stuff done at the same time. it could be a great resource for local bands to cut on a real console through some great vintage mics to analog...then i could take the tape(s) back up here, transfer them to .wav files (via PT HD converters) and ship the dvd's back down for overdubs in smaller local studios...fyi.
so, did you dig the gear?
