Responding to my two tentative alternatives and request for more Putz says,

"I see, and it's not treasonous to lie to the nation to start bombing and occupying another country? Just getting my facts straight.

I say we concoct a good reason to occupy their country. Let's see WMD's! No...used that one already. Squashing the Commie threat! Damn...no more commies. I know! Let's tell everyone if they get nuclear power then they will certainly use that power to make bombs and take over the U.S. That's the ticket! Fear, fear, and more fear!"

Putz what do you mean it's not treasonous to lie to the nation to start bombing and occupy another country? I never said anything about lying about it. If it came down to bombing Iran, I'd explain my reasons were I the president. As for whether the Iranians would use a nuke THEY have pretty much said all we need to know on the subject. THEIR leader (Ineedajihad) says Israel should be wiped from the planet. A few nukes over Tel Aviv and Jerusalem would go a long way to making that a reality. THEIR leader believes he is paving the way for the 13th Iman who will pave the wave for Islamic control of the world.

Now, Ineedajihad MAY be crazy (he sure as hell sounds it). Perhaps MANY (if not the majority) of Iranians DON'T want to wipe Israel from planet Earth and WOULD NOT use a nuke!! In fact, I'd bet that were true!

But the Iranians who count (aka the ones who would have their fingers on the button) have made their position clear. THESE are NOT rational people with whom we can negotiate.

BUT anyway, I only gave two alternatives (and you can be pretty sure the Israelis are not going to sit by and do nothing for too much longer since they are the ones most directly threatened). What am I missing?
