Junkernaut, the fist amendment contains NO MENTION WHATSOEVER of "separation of church and state". That phrase comes from a letter to the Danberry Baptists written by Thomas Jefferson in which he was telling them to beware gov't control of religion (not the other way around). Our Supreme Court HAS created a "separation of church and state" but it wasn't in the US constitution and if it were intended to be I find it odd that the SAME PEOPLE who wrote the US Constitution opened the Constitutional convention as well as EVERY subsequent congress with a PRAYER. How can you say they intended to ban god to the non-public sphere when THEY were invoking his name in the PUBLIC sphere?

That said we live in a time when "separation of church and state" is accepted as gospel.

Fine. Students can individually pray if they want (practice their religion). However, we can't have the school (in the form of one of its employees) leading the prayer. THIS IS THE CURRENT SITUATION ACCORDING TO THE US SUPREME COURT.

Which means junkernaut, that this is NOT a gray area!!! For a school employee to first segregate according to gender and then lead in prayer a group of Muslim females is CLEARLY UNCONSTITUTIONAL!!

1. I don't give a fuck what your religion is WE DON'T HAVE TO ACCOMMODATE RAW SEXISM!!! If you were a member of some white-power religion should we discriminate against blacks to "accommodate your religion"?
2. There are a LONG LINE of cases holding that school employees can't lead students in prayer at graduations, at football games and ESPECIALLY in the MIDDLE OF THE SCHOOL DAY!!

Some of the VERY SAME LIBERALS who PUSHED FOR THIS are allowing the Muslims to pray. They said POINT FUCKING BLANK that had it been christians they wouldn't have allowed it!!!

Have the muslims ever heard of BRINGING THEIR LUNCH to school? You know the little brown paper bag? If they don't want to eat that hot dog (practice their religion) then fine, bring their own food. I did when I was a kid! No they can't be bothered with that (that might involve women's work) so they WILL impose THEIR DIET on EVERYONE ELSE! Bullshit!!!
