| I've just ended a 27 year heavy smoking career,I 've decided that I've gotten as much as I could out of smoking;which is Congestive Heart Failure and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease.Impressive,Huh?I even get to have a pacemaker/defibrilator put in in a couple of weeks as a bonus.Now,don't get me wrong,I could smoke one 2 miles long right now,I still have almost overpowering urges to light one up.But,the time I just spent in the hospital not able to breathe under my own power is enough to keep me from lighting up again.I used to be the model of health when I was your age,Marc;in the Army,working out twice a day,one for PT and one for boxing.I ran 6 miles a day,8 on wednesdays.But;when I got out ,I let it all go and stopped working out and running,and started putting on the weight and smoking heavier,mow just 15 years later my health is shot.Quit while your ahead,Marc... |
