Ted Kennedy is a CASE STUDY that without a doubt proves the existence AND bias of the drive-by media, Mikael. The fact that he is still serving as a US senator is all the proof you will ever need of the drive-by's bias!!! If ANY republican had done ONE/TENTH of what Kennedy has done the drive-by's would be doing prime time specials on corruption in gov't!!!

But back to the dirt people....

I read an interesting article in this months Rolling Stone about ETHANOL. Turns out ethanol isn't a very good alternative to gas. I'll skip the science but it burns as dirty as gas, takes too many fossil fuels to produce relative to it's output, is not as efficient (it takes more ethanol for the same ammount of work than gas), and finally is a food source (not good to have fuel competing with food).

But here's where it gets interesting. Turns out that the politicians in the corn states (Iowa, Nebraska etc) have pushed hard for ethanol. Turns out that the first primary is in Iowa so the presidential candidates are now pushing hard for ethanol particularly on the democrat side. Which as the article points out means you have a NEW powerful lobby they call Big Corn.

So maybe it won't be Big Oil that "destroys the world". Perhaps it will be Big Corn instead.
