The Charlie Daniels Band Shines in Hollywood Bay St. Louis

BAY ST. LOUIS, MS - GRAVELY presents The Charlie Daniels Band performing live in concert at 9 P.M., Friday and Saturday, November 16 & 17 at Hollywood Casino Bay St. Louis. The Grammy award- winning Charlie Daniels Band will tell you they have no real clear style of music or genre, but more the values consistently reflected in several styles that has connected Charlie Daniels with millions of fans. For decades, he has steadfastly refused to label his music as anything other than "CDB music."

"I used to say, 'I'm not an outlaw; I'm an outcast," said the Grammy Award winning star. "When it gets right down to the nitty gritty, I've just tried to be who I am, I've never followed trends or fads. I couldn't even if I tried. I can't be them; I can't be anybody but me." When you hear a classic Charlie Daniels Band performance like "The Devil Went Down to Georgia," you hear music that knows no genre. Is it a folk tale? A southern boogie? A country fiddle turn? An electric rock anthem? The answer is, "yes" to all of that and more. And the same goes for "In America," Uneasy Rider," "The South's Gonna Do It," "Long Haired Country Boy," "Still in Saigon," "The Legend of Wooley Swamp," and the rest of a catalog that spans more than 40 years of record making and represents more than 20 million in sales.

Last week Charlie Daniels released his 17th Blue Hat Records release, Deuces. Charlie teamed up with some of Nashville's most recognizable artists, performing duets of Country, Pop, and R& B classics, as well as some of The Charlie Daniels Band's biggest hits. Guest stars on the album include: Brad Paisley, Bonnie Bramlett, Dolly Parton, Darius Rucker, Brenda Lee, Gretchen Wilson, The Del McCoury Band, Travis Tritt, Brooks & Dunn, Vince Gill, Montgomery Gentry and Earl, Gary and Randy Scruggs.

Tickets start at $19.95 and seating is limited. Tickets may be purchased at Tokens Gift Shop or call 1-866-7-LUCKY-1. Must be at least 21 to attend.
