| I'm a registered voter, and being one will get you tons of mail. Not just the usual bills and junk mail, but political "postcards." So Sunday I'm weeding through all the trash mail for the bills when I find an envelope from Gayle Parker, the Harrison County Circuit Clerk. I disregarded it as another "vote for me" piece when I thought better of it and ripped it open. It's a summons to jury duty. Thank goodness I opened it, or I'd been in contempt.
Another reason to register; you get to be a juror!!!
Actually, I don't mind. I like to see how our judicial system works, and I get a break from work. Plus, I get two checks... that helps too. |
