| It is kind of funny, before Ledger died I had no idea he was in Brokeback Mountain, seriously. I knew that Gyllenhaal dude was, but not Ledger. I basically saw that a movie was made about two gay cowboys, thought "now there is a dumb idea" and paid it no more attention. I don't see what all the uproar is about. Did I know a movie about gay people would be big? Yeah, it is our culture. I haven't seen the movie...
I don't know, here is my point. A lot of gay jokes are made about it. Was it a good movie? Did he have a good role? I mean, the guy made several other movies and all I hear referenced is "Brokeback Mountain".
I saw "The Patriot", it was alright, two Aussies playing American soldiers in the Revolutionary War? He did a pretty good job though. Never saw "A Knights Tale", heard he did good in that. Saw "10 Things I Hate About You", pretty good for a teen flick, Julia Stiles gets on my last nerve though (don't know why, she just does).
I want to see "I'm Not There", and I wonder if "The Brothers Grimm" is any good... the previews looked good. Oh, and of course "Dark Knight", I heard a shit-ton about this before he died.
So tell me, out of all these roles, why is he remembered for being a gay cowboy? Probably the dullest of all his roles. |
