Like, pick a club that will allow several bands to play, and have a benefit for the board, or split the money between the board and the bands, whatever. Just make it known that it is a GulfCoastBands.com show and promote the hell out of it. Put flyers everywhere, have a big banner at the show (if possible). Let other people and bands know that the purpose is to bring the scene together and to strengthen it (hey, every musician likes some help getting shows and fans). Just a thought.

Also, there was an idea not too long ago of a GulfCoastBands.com compilation cd. Did that happen? That is also a good idea. If you can get it in enough peoples' hands, other bands will want to be on it (free publicity). Tell them they have to at least be a member to be on the cd... maybe they will post, maybe they will join and contribute and use the site. Again just an idea.

I remember doing a benefit for the Cell Block in Mobile. A lot of bands jumped on the bill and played for free to benefit the club. All the original bands loved that club and depended on it, so they had no problem playing to help the club. I know some bands here wouldn't mind playing one night to strengthen the board.

Suggestions people... not more in fighting. I know I haven't helped much, but now I am trying.
