The 2008 Ocean Springs Music Festival will be held on July 4th on Front Beach in Ocean Springs. The city of Ocean Springs is a major sponsor this year, providing funds for the stage, sound, security, insurance, food vendor contracts, etc. We just need to book the bands. No word on pay yet, although I am working on getting money for at least a headliner (and hopefully everyone that plays) through a state grant. I won't know if we got the grant until about a month from now.
If anyone was at the bridge opening in November, we will have the same stage and sound as at that event, only in front of the old Fort Maurepas site instead of right next to the bridge.

We are probably looking at 7-8 bands this year.
It is in conjunction with the city's fireworks display and a volleyball tournament that they will be putting on at the beach, so there should be a good crowd and lots of exposure. Even if we do not pay (which I hope that we will), you are welcome to sell your band's merchandise all day and we will have a tent set up for that.
