There are two upcoming shows at the HOB in NOLA that me and my gf plan on going to see. One is My Chemical Romance which is $33.50/ticket and the other is Mindless Self Indulgence at $18.50/ticket. I went to the Coliseum today because I figured I could save a few bucks rather than buying them online. When I told the guy at the window that I wanted two tickets for each show, he first told me that the MCR tickets would be $85.XX. I was like wha???? I decided I would just buy these later if we decided we still wanted to go and just got the MSI tickets. I ended up paying over $54 for these tickets. I really wish a new ticket agency would sprout up and give these guys some competition. They are adding about $10 per ticket now. And to cap it off, I was looking at how much the tickets would be online. They don't even offer USPS shipping anymore!!!! You used to be able to get them mailed to you for no charge (which was actually suprising considering). Now you can either pay $2.50 to print them out yourself on with your own computer & printer, or pay a ridiculous UPS charge. The only way to beat these fees now is will call. I'm sure they will start charging you for that soon too.
