| Sebastian was actually the front runner before they picked Weiland, but he was too "80s" for them. Plus Bas has his nose right up Axl's ass so I doubt he'd take it now lest he piss off his l'il buddy Bill Bailey.
Possible replacements named have been Billy Idol, Josh Todd, John Corabi and Stephen Shareaux. Of course Billy and Josh would be crazy to do it since they're both better off on their own. I'd like to see Corabi get it because he's such a good singer but got so screwed in the Motley Crue MC94 thing. Then again, Stephen Shareaux has a bit more stage prescence and he has a great voice too. He was in a band called Kik Tracee who were pretty good but got lost in the glut of bands at the end of the hair metal era.
They have 1 more record in their contract so this will either be a swan song or a comeback depending on who they get. Weiland was a poor choice in the first place, he really didn't fit that well and was a time bomb. |
