Another way to save money is to also look for reward type credit cards. I just got a credit card from the pentagon federal credit union that gives a 5% return on all gas purchases. I get 2% back on groceries and 1.25% back on all other purchases. I am a federal employee so it was easy to get. From what I have read, if you are not a federal employee you can still get the card. You have to call to apply instead of online and you pay a one time fee of $50 to become a member of the credit union. |
