| OK spert and pitboss you guys say "safety".
That is more of an answer than anyone else has given me. (I've been asking everyone I talk to about this and NONE have even given an answer).
BUT again that was TWENTY FUCKING YEARS AGO and given the CURRENT state of polymer science a LIGHT car does NOT have to equal an UNSAFE car. The new corvette, for example, is made from some carbon fiber polymer that is super strong and lightweight. I think it's entire body weighs something like 200 pounds and it is "safe" enough for a car that tops out at around 200 mph!!!!!!
So the question still stands.....
Given $4.00 per gallon gas, a car that got fifty miles per gallon and was priced reasonably WOULD sell.
So why aren't ANY of the car manufacturers SELLING that car? |
