It won't hurt the amp splitting the fender cabinet into two different 4 ohm loads (it will probably be closer to 6 ohm anyway) It
is a 8 ohm stereo amp right?
The worst damage he could do to it is to push 2 - 2 ohm loads.
That would be certain death. maybe not instant, but it would fry.
