10-year-old gives birth in Idaho; Suspected illegal immigrant charged with rape

A 37-year-old man is charged with raping a 10-year-old girl who gave birth last month in Idaho.

"St. Anthony Police said they were notified of the young girl's pregnancy by medical personnel after she went in for treatment at a doctor's office," KIFI-TV reports on its website.

One day later, the ABC affiliate says the young mother delivered a 6-pound girl at Madison Memorial Hospital in Rexburg, Idaho.

KIDK-TV says Guadalupe Gutierrez-Juarez, a suspected illegal immigrant, is being held at the Fremont County Jail. He's due in court next week to face rape charges.

"I wouldn't have believed a 10-year-old could conceive in the first place," Fremont County Sheriff Ralph Davis tells the Associated Press.

We told you yesterday about the 10-year-old girl who delivered a baby last month in Idaho.

"Channel 3 has learned the girl was 9-years-old when she got pregnant," KIDK-TV reports. "Sources close to the case say she may have had a medical condition that made her hit puberty early. She was also a little overweight so that may have concealed the pregnancy. Right now both she and her baby girl, who weighed about six pounds at birth, are in state custody."

The man who's accused of raping her is being held at the local jail.

That is just plain sick. You don't even want to know what I think they should do to that man. 9 fucking years old! What's this world coming to?

That is horrible!!! Poor little girl and then you gotta think about the baby too. One day she will find out who her daddy was and it will ruin her life. Just a horrible situation all the way around.
