Pssst! Heard of the Wolf Pack on the Prowl?

Everyone knows that the film industry and the music industry are highly interconnected. In fact, they depend upon one other to make themselves complete. Filmmakers depend on musicians for soundtracks, and musicians depends on the visuals that filmmakers provide for their music videos, TV promotions, live video recordings, and much more to help promote and sell their music. The Wolfpack Film Group in association with AMFM Productions want to help bring it all together in one awesome Rockin’ event held in the live music capital city, Austin, TX. The Wolfpack Film Group is proud to announce The FIRST ANNUAL Wolfpack on the Prowl Battle of the Bands Music Competition. (WPoP)

WPoP is a music event that will benefit a few awesome charities that really do a lot to help the misfortunate here in the Austin area. Loaves and Fishes, an organization that feeds the poor and homeless has already agreed to be a part of this event. We have also been in talks with Safe place (battered women’s shelter), and FFH (Foundation For the Homeless). Aside from the monetary donation to these organizations, we plan to hold a food and clothing drive at the event. The food raised will go to Loaves and Fishes, and the clothing will go to Safe Place and FFH. We have plans to bring out a mobile blood donation unit, and collect much needed items for our soldiers in Iraq (phone cards, socks, protein bars, vitamins, etc.). WPoP is going to be a huge event that does a great deal for the community, because of this we expect to gain a large amount of press.

Promotion:

WPoP has the backing of a Popular Austin Publicist, Christine Thompson, who just recently and very successfully provided the publicity for The Red White and Blue Festival (www.amfmstudios.com/rwb), and the Austin City Limits After Party, Funky Batz! (www.amfmstudios.com/funkybatz). She has plans to launch a Very large publicity campaign for WPoP. Christine has the ability to blast thousands of news outlets WORLDWIDE, and she receives a very good response from the local and worldwide press communities. During past Promotional campaigns she has drawn the interest of TV news reporters, columnists, Print news reporters, online e-zine publications, and received featured spots on many websites around the globe.

The local press, on a regular basis, looks to Christine to provide stories relating to the local film and music community. Christine believes that Austin has been waiting for an event like WPoP for a long time. This will not be just any music event. This event will help unite the local music and film communities for a good cause. The term “Starving artist,” is one that is tossed around daily in an art friendly city like Austin. WPoP will be an event where Austin’s local “Starving artists,” reach out to the real hungry, cold, abused, shelterless, and very much overlooked members of our community.

Prizes:

The competition features a fairly large prize package for the Grand Prize Winner and Finalists.

The Grand Prize Winner will receive: A custom music video created by The Wolfpack Film Group (A $30,000 Value)

All of the 10 bands that make it through the first round of the competition, which is the submission phase and first round of judging, will receive:
