It's true. If you're one of Thunder's bands you're not supposed to play anywhere else in 'Goula. He's in deep with the law there. I don't know about what happened last night, but it's not bullshit.

isn't it illegal for a cop to sit outside of a bar strictly for the purpose of catching people? i think an attorney would have a field day with that. a roadblock is perfectly legal, but i'm sure they can't do it right outside of the bar. now if there is probable cause for the cops to have you on their radar it would make sense. i hear that there have been a lot of fights in the celtic, which would definately make it a hotspot for law enforcement. just my $.02.

they have had several wrecks outside the bar as well. Lots of hits at the stoplight at 90.

Thunder is a businessman out to make money and that's all there is to it! He does what he has to do to benefit himself. That sounds kind of out there though. But, he does get awfully ugly with people who piss him off. You just don't know what to believe.

yea, i'm not sure about all of that.
she just said that there were only 6 people in there on a monday night.
all 6 got arrested.

"Two cops were accross the street....two were next door and two were in our parking lot. As people left they just walked up and "Got em". One guy didn't even make it to his car. They stopped him and asked if they could search him. The dumb ass said "Yes". He had weed on him!"

i with you. i'd get a good lawyer and fight it.
But the legal aspect of the situation isn't the issue in this thread.
it's how they do it in The Goula.

You're right Charlie. I was told that if you play for Thunder, you don't play anywhere else in town. Thunder "owns" you.

actually, the term is called entrapment. it is illegal. what's a shame is the average person can't afford to fight city hall. really sucks to be those people, again it's rumor that cops tend to frequent places nearby. we've only been there a few times and have been lucky.
