I think my Boss Micro BR came from ebay (Christmas Present).

I do not make it a general practice to buy shit from any old Tom, Dick, and Harry on the internet... a local forum may be different, but when it comes to guitars and amps and such, sometimes it pays to spend a little more to buy it in person, or from a reputable internet music store (Musician's Friend, ect.).

Ebay is a rip-off waiting to happen, I know thousands (millions) of things are sold daily that are valid transactions, but getting ripped-off once will more than likely change your outlook, or at least make you more careful.
I'm not knocking Ebay per se, I have several hundred transactions both buying and selling and have not been ripped off yet (knock on wood!).

You can look at their feedback and the way they write their ad to tell the good sellers from the ripoffs most of the time. If it looks too good to be true, it probably is. Big ticket items, I stay away from low and no feedback sellers. And I have bought and sold dozens of guitars with no problems.

I have also passed on a lot of items that I really wanted, but the sellers seemed fishy and I wasn't willing to risk it. But I know that I've been lucky to not have been ripped off yet with as many Ebay deals as I've done.

Me too, Clyde was my best friend; we met when I was 15 and he was 14. That boy had the gift of salesmanship among his many other gifts! Still hard to believe he's gone...

You knew Ebay had arrived when Weird Al wrote a song parody about it!

I won't lie, he and I butted heads more often than not, but almost every day I use something he taught or told me. He had a wicked crazy gift for words. He could make a POS looking piece of equipment (clearly pictured looking like shit) seem to glimmer like gold and it always sold as so! His "ebay" skills came in handy far too often as a struggling single mother trying to make ends meet... and I can't drink a Sobe without thinking of him! LMAO

RIP

Well, I butted heads with him too, mostly over musical differences (I( like heavier stuff and he'd diss that stuff a lot), but when we met both of us had just started playing the guitar, and both of us had just lost a parent - I'd lost my dad and he had lost his mother. Not like we ever talked about it other than the "Your mom's nice, where's your dad?" kind of convo, but looking back I think that had a lot to do with us becoming close friends.

Nobody's perfect, but he was always a great friend to me. Couldn't ask for a better one...

He and Mark were real close. Most of our "head butting" was stemmed from my youthful jealousy and confusion. (I was 16 when we met him and he saw something in Mark's music)

He's not one to ever be forgotten. His spirit lives in every musician he's ever worked with on the coast...exactly how he'd want it.

He really made the music scene here a lot different than the one I recall when I left for California in 1983. It was really cutthroat and bands didn't have much camaraderie at all.

He loved the Coast so much and he wanted to make it a better place for musicians to grow and prosper. That's a great legacy and I'm proud that he made his mark here.

You know Biloxi III is finished and available at www.biloximusic.com now. 4 songs sung by Clyde and he plays on several more, Mark sings on 10 more. 14 songs in all. I like it quite a bit myself, really sad though because it's the last we'll hear from him. Mark, Dave and Rob did a great job on finishing it up though. They are playing at Rocklahoma from what Mark tells me too!

Clyde will be missed.

The only thing i got off ebay that was junk, was a hofner bass.
the neck was warped.
i tore the guy a new ass hole with feedback, and demanded my money back, and got it thanks to pay pals intervention.
Everything else I bought off ebay has been a good experience.

Good luck on the search Bret.
