Nope. My bad. I don't like to read posts in full aparently or I would've known that. My hubby grew up in Gautier and he has a friend named Brett, who I thought played an instrument, but I may be wrong (I'm wrong a lot).

But welcome! Good luck with your band! You've come to the right place. Please stay and have a drink.

Welcome to the site.
Now get out and mingle at some live shows!

For Ocean Springs, check out
The Government St Grocery and The Julep Room!
Introduce yourself and meet some folks.

I always hear about people needing a drummer (or bass player) it seems.

Good luck!

Band Whore

Don't let his age fool you, Bret is more mature than loads on people in their 30's and 40's. His dad is a session drummer so Bret has been in bars since his single digits. This is one hell of a drummer and if I could I would bring him over to the other band. Talent like this does not show up often, dedicated and he also plays better guitar than some here....

hey man. im lookin to do mainly covers to start out with but im looking forward to writing originals also. i just wanna get tight with some people and get a set list going and then add in our own stuff. i think that would be a good sure fire way to get tight at both covers and originals. i mean if someone already had a bunch of originals already, im down to learn whatever.
also i would like to land a position in an already giging band but those are few and far between. so ive opened myself up to starting from scratch. like i mentioned in my first post, im looking to do skynyrd, led zep, aerosmith, ozzy, and all the other shit inbetween. also i would like to add in some newer stuff like staind, shinedown, maybe nickelback. theory of a dead man, alterbridge, maybe chevelle or something like that. u no. mix it up with both old and new, soft and hard, ROCK. if we could pull off some jimi hendrix and peal jam i wouldnt mind doing that. and if u have some requests that atleast kinda resemble that type, then i think we would get along fine. i just dont want to end up doing elevator music. oh yeah also a little beatles maybe. but anyway to make my long story longer......i would love to start something from scratch and am totally down for covers and originals. but covers would be a good foundation to start out with. so pm me and ill give u my #. we can talk more about it if u feel good about this post. thanks. Brett

No mention of southern country, blues, soul or power folk. How are you with straight ahead drive groves on a three-piece kit and what nights can you take short notice calls?

no i didnt mention those types cuz they r not my primary passion. i would do them just to get into playing with a band but im not setting my sights on country or power folk. i couldnt even really tell u a band that would be classified as power folk. blues is ok like bb king and eric clapton but i am trying to stay around what im most familiar with for my own comfort. like i said im not against the other types of music, but i would like to try finding something a little closer to my taste and if i dont find that, then move outward and go from there. as far as being on call so-to-speak, im lookin to get in with a group and get tight with them. i have the type of schedule where short notice would be kinda difficult for me to be of any use. i hate to turn people down when they r in a jam so i would rather make myself unavailabe rather than disappointing people.
