Rep Power: 25 ![]() | Can I get you to drop by gigmasters.com, hunt up buzzincuzzin and give an ear to the band's "nashburg" type material and let ME know if there is anything to it? It's backyard written, front porch recorded and edited at the kitchen table. I would like you to CALL ME 251-786-3207 with your suggestions/ideas. DO NOT FOLLOW THE LINKS WITH COMMENTS. Chris, I may need an insider sooner rather than later. |

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | alright! so the studio is officially up and running, i had sessions last week and everything is sounding awesome - check out www.myspace.com/welcometo1979 for some hot action pics! lol. by far the #1 question i've been getting is about the rate. i did some soul searching and came up with some great weekend, three and five day packages that include sleeping accommodations (there are 5 separate rooms for band members to sleep in!), you can even come down the day before to load in/setup and then get a good nights sleep so you'll be ready to hit it hard the next day, and feel free to stay a day longer to decompress before getting back to the real world. the packages are made to make you feel like you have a HUGE budget- the place is totally yours for the duration, long work days and plenty of space to run around in. a few bands are even scheduling some rehearsal time (at a greatly reduced price) to work out some kinks/butterflies prior to recording, or taking a day off and doing shows in nashville while they're here. (and have a free place to crash!) the studio really is awesome- it's by far the largest studio any independent band could hope to afford. seriously- it's a frickin' compound, and it's right in nashville, so it's close to everything! it takes me 15 minutes just to give people the tour- lol. it's housed in a 40,000 square foot building - i'm the ONLY thing in the whole place, and the studio takes up about 7,000 square feet. check out the floor plan layout in the myspace pics section, as well as on the front page. i re-tooled some things so now there is: control room - upstairs (50x30) upstairs vox booth (15 x 20) upstairs machine room (15x15) upstairs amp room #1 (15x15) upstairs amp room #2 (10x30) downstairs tracking room (25x60) downstairs vox booth (15x15) downstairs amp booth #1 (15x15) - also crash pad #1 downstairs amp booth #2 (15x15) - also crash pad #2 downstairs alternate tight drum room (10x25)- also crash pad #3 downstairs lounge downstairs kitchen downstairs office/hang room (15x25) also crash pad #4 downstairs dedicated crash pad #5 (15x25) covered loading dock that makes for a great outdoor hang/smoking area secure parking 33,000 other square feet to bum around in. hit me up on myspace or email - cym@mindspring.com for the rate info, or if you are going to be in nashville and want to check it out in person. the 5 day package is a total no brainer! -chris |
