THE RIVALRY
The Rivalry is a high-energy rock quartet from Long Island, NY that formed in the summer of 2005. The band last toured the U.S. with Alien Ant Farm and will join 311's Summer Unity Tour in support of their full-length record entitled "Emergency Broadcast" out now (online release). The new record, which contains 11 songs, was produced by Mike Cosgrove of Alien Ant Farm and mixed by Chad Sexton of 311. Into this storm came The Beat, trying to calm the waters with their simple message of unity set to a great beat. The band blends soul, reggae, pop and punk, and from these pieces they create an infectious rhythm. Along with their contemporaries The Specials, The Selecter, and Madness, The Beat became one of the most popular and influential bands of the British ska movement. The band has toured the world, with such artists as David Bowie, The Police, REM, The Clash, The Talking Heads, The Pretenders, and The Specials. Be sure to check out this band of musicial history and good-timin'-grooves for yourself! SHOOTYZ GROOVE
Since forming in the Bronx, New York, in 1992, Shootyz Groove has uniquely mixed hip-hop, rock, reggae, funk and soul into a cutting-edge hybrid sound. "The world is full of ignorance and hate," says Sense. "But we make music against that. We're about kicking positivity, kicking good vibes and spreading love. The lyrics are very positive-minded. Sometimes it's a struggle to even try to be happy in this life, and there are a lot of knuckleheads out there who make it even harder. Our music is about overcoming that and trying to keep a level head." There's no tricks or gimmicks - it's just pure emotion with what we do. We're just trying to spread good vibes around the world. We're ready to rock everyone's head. We see life as a daily mission for ourselves and for all people. That mission being to J.I.V.E. together and make music. What happens when 1 Dominican, 2 Puerto Ricans, 1 Italian, and a Croat get together and jam? Straight up Madness, Truth, Respect, and Love" -- SHOOTYZ GROOVE. -- On the strength, SENSE live.
