I like Shinedown too. I thought Tantric would've headlined at CPR IMHO. Some reason that acronym reminds me of I'm A HO.

Orange County, California's AVENGED SEVENFOLD has cancelled the remaining shows on its current U.S. in order to allow frontman Matt Shadows to rest his voice.

Shadows first began to experience problems singing during the band's show on September 6 in Huntington, West Virginia. After being unable to perform the next night at a show in Baltimore, Shadows flew home to see his doctor, who diagnosed vocal fatigue. Fortunately, there is nothing on Shadows' vocal chords that requires surgery, but he has been prescribed vocal rest so that he will be able to resume touring without interruption.

Though the members of AVENGED SEVENFOLD feel terrible that they have to disappoint fans who bought tickets for the first leg of the tour, the band is happy to report it will be able to return to the road in October. The tour will resume on October 15 in Osaka, Japan, and the band will back touring the U.S. with BUCKCHERRY, SHINEDOWN and SAVING ABEL starting on November 4 in Casper, Wyoming.

Shadows says:"I feel as if I'm letting so many people down, especially the fans we were supposed to see this month, but after a little rest it'll be back to the usual craziness everyone expects of A7X. All of us are so excited about going out with BUCKCHERRY in November; our fans will love them as well as SHINEDOWN and SAVING ABEL."

AVENGED SEVENFOLD has just released a DVD/CD package entitled "Live in the LBC & Diamonds in the Rough". The live DVD features the band's April 10 hometown show at the Long Beach Arena headlining the Rockstar Taste of Chaos tour, while the CD contains previously unreleased b-sides that were recorded during the making of "Avenged Sevenfold", plus various covers, and other never-before-heard material. The DVD was directed by Core Entertainment's Rafa Alcantara, who also worked on the band's critically acclaimed 2007 road documentary "All Excess".

P.O.D. is now on in place of Avenged. I can deal with that :-)

I coulda guessed before I even opened this thread that y'all would be tearing the bands down, but hey, it's a public forum, y'all can do that.

I'm just surprised sometimes at how negative some people seem to be all the time.

This is basically Cprfest all over again.

I was just bummed about A7X dropping off, I'm feeling pretty positively about it now.
I'll say some positive things about Bayfest:
No Ticketmaster!
Don't have to worry about the floor selling out so no rush to get tickets.
Free parking if you're willing to walk a little.
It's the only fest I don't have to drive an hour or more to get to.
