Rep Power: 12 ![]() | I remember the Toadies playing outside at CPR Fest 3. I think that was in 98 when Better then Ezra and Violent Femmes headlined. I unfortunately never got to see S. Westward. I loved that band too bad they broke up.

That is when Bayfest, Springfest, and CPR Fest were all still pretty decent, Our Lady Peace would hit up those shows a lot... among many other decent bands, like the Toadies. Better Than Ezra used to play at these fests a lot also. Never my favorite band, but they were always so damn entertaining live.

So people who started going in their 20s but are now maybe in their 30s or 40s ARE more likely to go to an indoor show. They are apt to spend more money, and they're also less apt to fuck with security because they got thrown out of shows with busted heads when they were kids, and have learned by now. They can sit in the stands, drink beer and watch the bands while their teenaged kids go down on the floor and mix with the crowd. And CPR certainly seems to see it as a step up that they're inside now. Life is change. Adaptability is good. Just because it isn't what it once was doesn't make it bad. But then again, you don't have to go either if you don't like what it's become. But it's probably inside now because more fans prefer that than not. And people sure seemed to be having a good time when the whole place was chanting "Hell Yeah!" and "Fuck Yeah!" during the show.
