Eagles new release

Has anyone gave it a whirl yet? Sorry if it's already been discussed

I know there are some sore spots what with WalMart being the only place to get it, and I'm one of those that avoid WM at all costs myself.

But the cd itself, regardless of how it was marketed, is pretty damn good imo, especially the 2nd disc. As a guitar player, it's always a treat to hear Joe Walsh, and there are some good cuts on there, for me track 2 and 8 are getting a lot of repeats on my player.

I got 2 words for that tree-huggin' assed Ponytail wearin' Don Henley;"JOE "MUTHAFUCKIN WALSH!!!"... He was,is,and will always be "THE MAN"!!!..." As for the album,I haven't heard anything but the one song that VH1 plays;I've always been an Eagle's fan...

I hear ya, Henley's music would be better if he'd keep his political opinions out of it, but that's a whole 'nuther subject!

I downloaded the album last night and listened to it today.It's very reminiscent of the other Eagles stuff,Lotsa good harmonies and melodies...

I've got a two disc set burned to my computer but not sure if it's the right ones or not. They had two sets next to each other, (at Wal-Mart, "rolls eyes") one for about $15 and one for $40+ something. I've got the cheaper one. I think it's the Long Road something. Not sure which one you're talking about. I suppose it'd help if I listened to it yet...

LOVE LOVE LOVE the Eagles. Grew up on them. They were the ONLY group my parents liked together (they have a 14 year age difference, at times my father would tolerate Aerosmith and learned to love Queen too haha)

This cd is nothing less than to be expected by one of the most talented bands in history

And Penelope, the pups are BEAUTIFUL!
