According to
The Pulse of Radio,
KORN singer
Jonathan Davis has posted a new song called
"Got Money" at his personal web site,
jdsfa.com. The track is taken from his upcoming solo album and is a cover of the rap hit originally done by
T-Pain and
Lil Wayne.
Davis' version features guest appearances from
SLIPKNOT guitarist
Jim Root and
KORN touring drummer
Ray Luzier.
Davis told
The Pulse of Radio that fans can visit the web site to actually see him working on his solo debut. "You can watch me write the whole album," he said. "I have a camera in my house studio, and a camera at the
KORN studio, and kids can chat with me and listen to me work and it's been fun. It's been a fun experience."
Davis says he plans to write more songs for his first solo album before recording later this fall. He hopes to have the disc out by early 2009.
The singer plans to tour behind his own record for "six months to a year" before reconvening with
KORN sometime in 2009.
Davis has also posted
KORN's version of
"Kidnapping the Sandy Claws" from the upcoming
"Nightmare Before Christmas" soundtrack album.
