Saw this band on MHD a couple nights ago. I think its really cool. What do you think?

I love the riff around 4:13

but watch the whole thing to get the effect....

Muse is a cool band.
They've been around for years.Since the early 90's. (93?94?)

they are one of the few 'contemporary' rock bands that do it for me.
I saw them at the Tabernacle in ATL about 2 years ago, and in P'cola a while back.
One of the strongest bands working presently. They can PLAY!

they get compared to Radiohead a lot (bcz of Matt's voice, but that's his register, what's he supposed to do?) but I think they're a whole different beast.

Dredg, Porcupine Tree, and Muse are probably my fav 3 contemporary rock bands- they're really working hard at infusing modern music with a challenging and unique vision.

SS66 have you ever tried Gnoosic? I think that's the name. You can type in names of bands that you like and it gives suggestions for others that may be of interest to you. Sometimes it's kind of weird what they come up with though.

Over the past couple years I've fallen in love with The Secret Machines, although not together anymore, still have 3 albums worth of great material.
