Borat, Ali G Are Being Retired

Here is some sad news - two of our favorite movie characters are being put to sleep.

According to Yahoo News, "Sacha Baron Cohen tells The Daily Telegraph that he's retiring the clueless Kazakh journalist, as well as his alter ego, aspiring rapper Ali G.

"When I was being Ali G and Borat I was in character sometimes 14 hours a day and I came to love them, so admitting I am never going to play them again is quite a sad thing," the 36-year-old actor-comedian says in the British newspaper's Friday edition."

The movie was stupid humor and the joke was on all those in the movie who thought the character was real. I remember all the court cases that sprung from the movie, I watched it a few times on HBO and it was frigging funny. I loved it.

I've always been impressed by SBC's genius for playing idiots while exposing ignorance and intolerance. He's dang funny most of the time, if a bit crude on occasion. I'm cringing to think how the Bruno movie is going to play out, it usually gets pretty ugly. I'm still surprised he survived his AL/MS visits...
