I bet half the bands you like are influenced by them.

Ever heard of Mars Volta? Sparta?

1/2 Mars Volta + 1/2 Sparta = At the drive-in... roughly.

Seriously... check them out. You must not have had MTV2 circa 1998-2000.

Secondly, I still think Guitar Hero is a lame excuse for actually playing an instrument, but they do seem to at least pick some decent soundtracks to the game.

Wikipedia At the drive-in, probably one of the most important bands from the late 20th/early 21st century, along with the Refused, in my opinion. Both were active throughout the '90s, but their greatest era of influence was during that time period.

Nope, never heard of them. I haven't watched any of the MTV stations in about 10 years. Nothing against MTV, I just don't watch that much TV in general anymore. I will keep listening to music, but thanks anyway.

I don't like playing Guitar Hero because its an excuse for playing an instrument. If that were the case, I'd be looking to join a band right now with my XBox guitar controller. I play the game because its FUN.

Kind of sloppy, but why you should have seen them live...

Official video, when they were on their game (ie: not drugged out) they were excellent!

There are plenty of others on youtube... enjoy!
