Guitar Hero clones

If you want a free guitar hero type game for PC, try Frets on Fire or Guitar Zero. If you look in the right places there's plenty of songs available for download. Frets of Fire has a little more support and actually works with my ancient video card.

Yeah, you can do that, or if you have a guitar hero axe, that works better.

go here and sign up to the forum, you can get the game and songs there. they have a few fixes and mods to add, then plug in your guitar hero controller to the usb, configure the buttons and u should be ready to rock.

It's pretty bad ass, they have all my fav. Maiden, Metallica and all that. The best version of the game I've found is the rockband edition. It's in the mods section. The others have a flaw here and there.
