If this rule is meant to keep her from racing, it will only hurt the sport, not really bad, but bad enough. I only watch racing if there is completely nothing else on t.v., and I normally root for her on the pure basis that she is an underdog, and receives so much hate from the media.

Her endorsements will more than make up for what she will miss racing, so she should be the last one laughing anyway. She is the only Indy car driver I can name. I know who the top two are, a Spanish dude and some American, but I could not give you their names to save my life.

Yeah, I know that there's a dude married to Ashley Judd (I think haha) and that guy from Dancing with the Stars (only because my Grandmother thought he was "handsome") haha but donno either one of their names, or would recognize them!

It's a sexist biased and flat out discriminatory rule.

I hate racing. I only like football, lol...but that's fucked up!

You're right, there are two other women mentioned in the article, and she is the one being singled out. I don't know if the rule is aimed at her or not, but I do know she draws a lot of criticism. She has brought more publicity to the sport, probably more mainstream pop-culture -vs- hardcore racing fan... but I am sure more money has been brought in.

My grandfather use to build and own stock cars locally, and some of the things that they did and conflicts that rose from certain situations are pretty amusing. If you do not like cars going in a circle, the pit area is for you, that is where all the conflicts arise.

Well, as the article said, she's the Anna Kournikova of racing, a big earner but not yet a single win. It would be very stupid of the IRL to push her away or make her gain weight to stay in. The article didn't really say if she'd be kept from racing or if she'd have to add weight to her cars.

I imagine the 2 ladies who are 20 pounds heavier didn't really appreciate that statistic being printed in the article, but they probably resent Danica for it rather than the author as they should.

I'd like to know what snivelers actually complained that she could gain ONE mph of speed due to her light weight! Again, it's not like she's won even ONE race in 47 tries.

Ah, well, I don't really care about racing anyway....
