Rep Power: 30 ![]() | Goodman County Goodman County from Jackson, MS These guys are just fucking great. They put their souls on the line with their lyrics and the performance they give is deep and energetic. I heard someone say that they sound like The Queen's of the Stone Age. I don't know about that, but what I think they sound like is a mix between Punk Country Folk Rock Southern Rock and Maybe even a little Bluegrass. There is even some banjo and a string section on their CD, "Dead Ends and Transits", but I have yet to see one played on stage. They are soft at times and are failry hard at other times. But alwasy always honest. They gather energy from playing live and presenting their ART like few I have seen. On a personal note, they are great guys to know and I look up to them as a musician. Fun to joke and drink with and just a great group of fellas to be around. Ayway, they are awsome. There are a handful of songs that can provoke a tear to my eye or put my subconsious into a dream state. Goodman County's music does that to me; makes me daydream and dig up old feeling. Go see them, or check them out on-line @ www.MySpace.com/goodmancounty |
