This is all the site rules and relevant info for GulfCoastBands.Com. I thought it would be better to have all of this in one place instead of threads scattered all over the site. It will hopefully be easier to read through this way.

Welcome to GulfCoastBands.Com. We hope you enjoy your stay here. If you are new to the community then please take a moment to read this. Members that have been here a while may want to read through this just to make sure nothing has been added that they may have missed.

If you have a question or concern feel free to send one of the moderator or myself a PM. Remember though that since I foot the bill I have the final say on all matters.

• No flaming, trolling or bullying! keep it civil. Be respectful of other members opinions. It's great to disagree but personal attacks or harassment will not be tolerated. Also, do NOT reveal ANY personal information about any other member without their knowledge or consent... violation of this rule may result in an immediate ban.

• Post in the right forum, if you are unsure which forum to start your thread under, then post it under whatever you think most suits it. No punishments will be taken if it's a simple mistake like that.

• Political and religious debates are only permitted in the Politics And Controversy Forum. Do not start political or religious threads in other forums.

• Do not post 1 word replies. This means don't post things such as "lol" "yes" "ok", etc etc. Add some quantity to your post, or don't bother posting at all.

• Linking to illegally distributed copyrighted music is NOT permitted! Do not link to music files unless they are freely available on the artist's web site or an RIAA approved downloading service.

• Posts and usernames will NOT be removed from the forums upon your request.

• You are only permitted to sign up with one account. If you are found to have any more than one, your IP and maybe your ISP will be banned from the whole server. This also counts if your account is banned. You can not join the forums again and think you can start again. If you have been banned, it will be for a reason.

• Language is not generally censored here, however, posts that are hateful, inciting, threatening, or otherwise violative of any laws are prohibited. RACIAL SLURS AND HOMOSEXUAL BASHING ARE CONSIDERED HATEFUL AND INCITING AND WILL NOT BE TOLERATED.

• Do not challenge or harass the moderators. Any public or private attacks on the staff may result in immediate banning.

• Comments made in threads by members do not necessarily reflect the opinions of the admins or mods.

• Duplicate accounts are NOT permitted. Formerly banned members are NOT permitted to return.

• Dramatic departures and threats to leave the forums are NOT permitted.

• Please keep signatures under 50kb in file size and less than 500x150 pixels in dimension. We don't have time to hand out individual warnings so if you notice your signature missing, it was deleted for being to large.

• Avatars can be any size up to 150 X 150 pixels.

• If you have a problem with a member as a result of something that happened at another board then leave it at the other board. We do not care about it here. Registering just to continue a feud from another board is NOT allowed.

• Attacks on the admins will not be tolerated and will result in an immediate ban. If you have an issue or problem of any kind feel free to PM me but do not use this place as a soapbox for any problems you have with us.

• This site uses the user infraction system that is built into Vbulletin. Each infraction carries a set number of points. Once a member gets enough infractions to go over the point limit they are automatically banned by Vbulletin. Users may get an infraction for everything from sigs being too big to flaming or trolling. Sig violations won't get a user banned just be aware that it means your sig is too big and needs to be sized down. Most other infractions will result in a ban if you get enough infractions to go over the limit.

Signature Size Limits

In order to keep the forums responsive and easy to read we all need to abide by the signature size limits.

The size limit for a signature is 500 pixels by 150 pixels in dimension including all images and text.

The file size limit for signature images is a generous 50k or 51,200 bytes (1K = 1024 bytes)

It is up to you whether you want one large image or several smaller ones but the limit remains the same for the combined space. If you want to use both text and images you need to find a balance.

* Some existing signatures are much larger and should be altered. You may receive a warning message with a link to this thread, but after that, if your signature disappears you'll know why.

Many images found on the internet (especially animated ones) are beyond our size limits here. You may need to adjust the file size and dimensions of your images in a paint or image program on your computer before using them here.

Unlike uploaded images in posts, signature images need to be hosted on the web at another site. If you need a place to host your images we recommend www.photobucket.com

It's a free service which gives you space to upload and store your images. Once you join and upload an image you can then enter the provided url link into your signature area, found in your user control panel here at GulfCoastBands.Com.

I reserve the right to change this at anytime. Members should check back for changes to the rules policy.

I notice that sometimes a youtube video will display in the thread, and sometimes it wont. Any idea why that is ?
