Rep Power: 43 ![]() | I tried a bunch of microbrews when I was in WI a few months ago, they had some cool stuff up there. Ended up liking Leinenkugel Summer Wheat a lot, it's like Blue Moon but way better. Hard to find though (in Mobile anyway.) That and Yuengling are about the only domestics I'll touch. The Brewery in Mobile does a pretty good Stout (but their food is horrible) Also picked up a Monty Python's Holy Ale, wish I'd stocked up on those- much better than I expected. I like Young's Stout, it's really smooth and less bitter than Guinness. Found something at World Market called Xingu black beer, that was really good too. Red Stripe's good if you're in the mood for something sweet. Finally, I had the misfortune of trying "Samichlauss, the world's most extraordinary beverage. " This beer was definitely the most extraordinarily bad beverage I've ever tasted. Wow. No wonder they only brew it one day a year. |
