Isn't there some kind of astrological phenomenon that's supposed to happen on 12-21-12? If so, couldn't it be possible that all these cultures who predicted that date independently of one another just predicted the date that all the planets lined up or whatever, and then decided that it must mean the end of the world?

I'm going to invent a 2012 hotline, for all the people that are going crazy about our world coming to an "end". On second thought, that's pretty sick of me, right? I guess I could live a life of luxury for a couple years, at least.
