but I mostly try to spread the word about the site and contribute.

I get that. I really do. I chose not to really say much on this topic for a while now because I am not a band member and the band that I am working with isn't doing shows yet, so there's not much promoting during the writing process, ya know... so I don't have much 'input' on how to make more people show up at your show and "use this board as it was intended" but this thread keeps poping up and I felt the need to express my feelingss on it...finally. Connecting fans with bands should be an 'intended' use... I would've never heard of half of the bands that I have now if not for this site. It's just sad that the "only 15 people that contribute" have to get hit with negativity like this.

I'm guilty of posting when I have been "bored" while the kids are doing their schoolwork, but I didn't think I was causing such a major problem. I'm sorry. That really sucks...

They were. Talk to Marc. I would like a baseball tee and those were available at one time. I'd wear Berts... but it's too huge for me. lol.

I just wish that we would all realize when we put ourselves out in the general publics eyes... we should prepare ourselves for criticisms. I'm a photographer. I've been open to public ridicule for years. Yeah, the negative gets old, but if we listen enough, sometimes, you find yourself improving in the smallest areas, when you didn't think you could.

I don't understand. I'm not a band, I post on a posting board about music...I'm sorry that a few threads were posted and I commented on them that didn't relate DIRECTLY to gulf coast music, I guess I misunderstood the "intent" of this board. I thought it was a place for fans and members to connect on differnt levels and I actually really liked hearing about birthday parties, firemen, babies and the other members lives.

I'm open for critism, I modeled for 10 years. Trust me, as you know, it's very humbling.. but I don't think the critism is constructive. I, personally, feel like this whole thing is leading me to post LESS and that really bums me out.

It's okay. Don't be sorry.. I do believe the "Lounge" area of the board was meant for members to talk amongst themselves.. no one said what we had to talk about.. and I personally feel no one should get on to you because you post about what you want to post about. You have the right to be a member just as much as they do.
