Rep Power: 29 ![]() | How many active bands are registered here would be willing to support a promotional campaign aimed at attracting new bands? Maybe a better question would be how do you stay in contact with your fanbase. It's pretty easy for me due to only having one fan so I e-mail, call directly(and talk a while) visit in his home, play with his dog, drink his beer, eat his food, borrow his guitar to play MY shit and occasionally spend the night. Developing this fanbase is starting to pay off as I firmly believe my fans are soon to double now that his sister is drinking heavily. WHERE IS THE(general) FANBASE and HOW BEST TO REACH THEM? |

And the scene IS the supporters, more so than the bands, because bands are nothing and nowhere without music fans and their support. I think this board is pretty cool, could use more traffic but I think the overall vibe is great. Not too brutal but people will say what they think. Go check out the Metal Sludge boards if you think this place has too much negativity! This is a serene place to me. We're also all still trying to get over the colossal disaster of Katrina. I hate that this always comes up, but it's central to everybody's mindset in a way, even if we'd like to forget it. Everything we build can be destroyed in a day. That'll tend to bum you out and stop the momentum of a music scene, so keep it in perspective. We still survive, and the scene survives. It might be limping but it's still alive. | |
