Anywhere to rent ice skates around here?

They having public skating at the coliseum after a couple of Seawolves games later this month. They are not renting any skates though, you'll have to bring your own. I'm def not buying a new pair just for this rare occasion. I've called around to places like Academy and Hibbit but I don't think anyone around here does.

Maybe you could call Skate Zone in O.S. Not sure if they can help but they may can point you in the right direction. You'd think they'd rent them at the coliseum. :/

They used to before the storm.. they lost all of their supply though. I used to own my own pair but i'm not sure where they are.. I think it's silly they didn't buy skates and do the puplic iceskating this year.. I'm sure they can buy the skates at a wholesale price probably even used but in good condition.. and at 8 dollars a person for an hour and a half.. they could get back what they spent in no time.

Trey probably the closest place you might be able to rent them from would be Pensacola since the Ice Pilots are the closest team.. I'm just not even sure they have ice skating there anymore either. I know we went to a game there early in the season and were gonna stay and go skating since we haven't done it in so long but they weren't having it.

Give the civic center a call over there and see if they can hook you up with someone.. that is if your willing to go that far.

...may they rest in peace. I loved that damn team! I am glad Pensacola and Biloxi retained their teams though. Ice Pilots -vs- Mysticks was always a heated rivalry and fun to watch.

The only professional sports team Mobile would support would be the University of Alabama (if it was possible to make that team a pro team, and if they would actually play in Mobile). Hell, poll half of the citizens in Mobile and they probably think Alabama is a pro team (or they were, when the "Bear" was around).

The Baybears do fairly well though.

Oh, and to answer your question, no, I do not know where they rent skates. The Wharf in Orange Beach had ice skating, but I do not know for how long or if they rented skates.

Nah, Mobile had a decent team, but they definitely were not scared to start some shit.
