Can I just say how fucking BACKWARDS this damn country is! When you work your ASS off and take care of your family and something happens that's out of your hands and you need some assistance (which is WHY we have these assistance systems in place, right?) they won't approve you because you made too much the month before. We have had NOTHING for almost THREE weeks, but SIX weeks ago we made too fucking much so you won't give my daughter milk?

WTF?

the sorry will continue to stay sorry, and ruin the system then the people that need help will have a lot of red tape to go though. it will only get worse.

I'm sorry to hear that. They have some really stupid rules for these things. I hope they'll help you out soon. Maybe when the next month comes around and you show no income for the month? Try to keep your spirit up until then.

that's just it. It's not helping those that it was truly made to help.

Mark's disability has taken three weeks to be approved, we make good money, even his 66% (disability) is enough to get us by for a little while, but we've had no income for three weeks now and we could only make his partial check stretch so far... the mexican family that went in before us with five kids and didn't speak English got handed a foodstamp card and even left with a box full of food...all I wanted was WIC (they give you milk, chease and fucking eggs) to help us out a bit till Friday when his check goes in...it's enough to make a person fucking shoot someone...

Thanks guys... we're ok...My Irish anger just showed a bit...Mark had to beg me not to "make a scene"

I feel ya.....We (my wife and I) needed help not to long ago and they told her the same thing..that we made to much money, so she waited 2 weeks and went back and told them that I left her, and that she started smoking (which she does not..and I did not leave her) and they approved her.....how bout them apples..........

That's unfair, adecou, and I guess the aid workers were probably Mexican as well in your neck of the woods. They gladly help their own but think that whites should be able to help themselves "somehow".

we had the same problem with doug making too much and not having any food for a while. It sucks big time. sorry babe.
