I once read a post a while back on another messageboard about Nickelback, you may have seen it. This is not mine, I wish I could claim it. It made me laugh so hard though. The debate was over how Nickelback got their name, or why they had such a dumb name, and the post went something like this:

"Maybe when they first started, they needed a name. Someone heard them and said 'If I paid a $.05 for that shit I would want my nickel back!'"

I wish I could remember exactly what was said, but roughly, that was it.

I kinda liked them, because they do have some catchy hooks.
After all isn't that whats supposed to "hook" a fan?

You know, a band that has potential but can't seem to bust out of the "mold" is Theory of a Dead Man. I like a couple of their songs ( I was scared I liked a Nickelback song until I found out it was TOADM). I like "Nothing Could Come Between Us" and the one about "That bitch is leaving me!" I like the shuffle of that song. If they would try harder they could be really good, or should I say, if they would be more original.
