Led Zeppelin - 5 albums in 4 years.
Frank Zappa - Hot Rats
Pink Floyd - The wall
Rush - RUSH
The Beatles - The white Album

I couldn't make up my mind which ones changed me forever.

Runners up.

Yes - fragile
blue oyster cult -
kiss - KISS
emerson lake and palmer - emerson lake and palmer
jethro tull - aqualung
lynyrd skynyrd - pronounced

I didn't want to bore ya with the jazz I was into too...
I loved fusion...especially Jaco. He is the shit when it comes to jazz bassists.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOH fusion...
Sweetwater... even tho I wasn't born then, however...
They did come out with a VH1 behind the story on them, and I feel in love with her voice!

Al Dimeola - Splendido Hotel is the pinnacle of fusion. Anyone who hasn't heard it should. Spert, are you a fan of Yes's Relayer album?

Yes - 90125. Although it was their most 'pop' album, I never really listened to Yes before that album. After that, I went back and listened to the older albums, which blew me away

Rush - Moving Pictures. Another 'first' album for me. Been a Rush fan ever since!

Van Halen - Van Halen. Eddie fucking ruled the world. Period.

Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon. Simply amazing. Especially when under the influence.

Joe Satriani - Surfing with the Alien. Showed me that a guitar can convey emotions as well, if not better, than a lead singer. This album also got me listening to Eric Johnson, Steve Morse, and Steve Vai, among others.

Rush - Moving Pictures; I like others better now, but it was the first I heard all the way through
Slayer - Reign In Blood; the most brutal thing I ever heard up to that point in my life
Run DMC - Raising Hell; made me a hip-hop fan for life
Primus - Frizzle Fry; changed the way I looked at music, bass in particular
Every Beatle album ever made; my mother was an original fan during the screaming girl era so therefore I was literally raised with them as the soundtrack for my youth

Honorable mentions:
Any Led Zeppelin record
NIN - Pretty Hate Machine
Incubus - Make Yourself; S.I.E.N.C.E. is musically more interesting, but the lyrics on M.Y. were awesome
Public Enemy - It Takes A Nation Of Millions To Hold Us Back
QOTSA - Songs For The Deaf
