Rep Power: 23 ![]() | I too hope you're going after the doc and the hospital. The actual malpractice is more than reason enough, but the threats they made toward you REALLY take the cake. Now if you're waiting a little while to make sure you don't have to go right back in for complications, that I can see. But they really need to be held accountable for that mistake and the attempt to silence you. when they succeed in silencing patients like that, it leads to a complacency which will ultimately end in someone dying for their carelessness, if not more than one person. If you let them slide, you will be partly to blame for any deaths that result. Not to be harsh, but if you won't do it for yourself, do it for the future victims of their incompetence, complacency, criminal conspiracy to cover up malpractice, etc.... It's not just your right, it's your duty to nail them for that shit. |

Rep Power: 44 ![]() | Well we already talked to a lawyer and he said the same thing that me, my mum, and the other people said at the beginning. There is a piece of paper they get you to sign, no because of to many sue happy people, that pretty much says accidents happen. And I can see if I had more complication's then yea I would sue big time, but I'm doing great. Probably go back to work sooner than what we thought. It was an accident, I am different than most people are and my duct, vain, are totally different than most. I had thought that he had cut the duct all the way, but come to find out he didn't he only nicked it. Most doctors would have been bum heads about it but he is being a very good doctor. I would go back to him again if I had to. He is the best in his field, and it just happen that I was the one that had to be different lol. But everything is going great. I go back to him today to get my staples out. My scar is barely going to be show. Only ones that are going to be showing to bad are the staples part.

Rep Power: 45 ![]() | It's good you are recovering so well. My opinon, for what it's worth...If he is the best in his field then he wouldn't have made a mistake like that. Doctors go to school for such a long period of time, go through residency, training and what not to prevent that kind of mistake. Not to mention we, as patients, pay the doctors SO much money to not make mistakes. Yes, it happens. Doesn't mean they should be let off for it. This is your BODY your LIFE! It's not a matter of OPPS, I just filed the paper work under M instead of N. Another thing, if your lawyer said that...I'd talk to a different one. Your body cannot possibly be SO different that he didn't recognize ducts from...what ever, geese, I guess? Like I said, this is such a common surgery. A mistake like that shouldnt' be made, difference in your organs or not... You are lucky, though. He could have really fucked you up. Morphin is a hallucinogenic? I would't know...Heh...Who here is an expert on Morphin? Come on, I know SOMEONE here is!! |

Rep Power: 12 ![]() ![]() | I'm no expert by anymeans...Good stuff, was only prescribed a few times when I was a mere lad. Morphine - a white, bitter, crystalline alkaloid, C17H19NO3·H2O, the most important narcotic and addictive principle of opium, obtained by extraction and crystallization and used chiefly in medicine as a pain reliever and sedative. 1828, from Fr. morphine or Ger. Morphin (1816), name coined in allusion to L. Morpheus, Ovid's name for the god of dreams, son of Sleep, lit. "the maker of shapes," from Gk. morphe "form, shape, beauty, outward appearance," perhaps from PIE *merph-, possible Gk. root meaning "form," of unknown origin. So called because of the drug's sleep-inducing properties.

Rep Power: 45 ![]() | I was on Morphin in 96. I don't REMEMBER hallucinating. I do remember that it felt like lead was being pumped through my veins. I talked a lot. But then I talk a lot when I'm sleep and when I'm drunk. And I did sleep a lot. |
