Okay I am a Fawkin Newbie!

Be that as it may, can someone please tell me how to use this site for promotion! After all, I am a shameless self promoter!

I want to be in the groups that Musicans/Bands are in?

I want to have my gigs/events posted on the calendar?

I want to drive viewers back to my myspace page?

Marc is the site owner. He can help you with everything. You might want to start by creating a band profile on the main page:

you have band member access now. you can now post your own gigs to the event calendar.

The site works both ways, promote your fans to the site as well and it will help you in return.

As Craig said, make a band profile on the main site if you have not already.

I'll have a larger indie band site in a few weeks. This one is mainly the gulf coast region. I've been working on a much larger version.
