| Good Doggy
Anyone know of a good dog trainer that doesn't coast hundreds of dollars? And I'm not talking about the hokey shit at Pet Smart.
I have a sweet dog. Her name is Daisy. She's very loving. E.X.T.R.E.M.L.Y. playful. Very hyper. She is a mix breed of some sort but I think she has some pit in her. She is almost seven months old, we got her when she was four months old. She loves to chew on things. She's pretty good about chewing on her own stuff but she has chewed a hole in the carpet and on the wall. Don't ask how, she just did. She's mostly good about the potty training bit, but she makes a mess sometimes.
Two of the most annoying things about her is she only listens to me. She only comes to me if she needs to go out, she is gentle with me but plays very rough with Lance. But then again, he plays rough with her. I tell him not to, but he does it anyway. But if we are both in the house she stays with me.
The other thing is...she's kennele trained, mostly. She goes in easily enough but she barks for about half an hour and then settles down.
When we take her for walks she nearly pulls me off my feet. She's a very strong girl.
I've had dogs nearly my whole life and I've never had a problem. But this dog...She's a great dog but she is almost too hyper. We do live in an apartment. (townhouse, really) I think she would do better if we had a yard for her to run in play in. But being as we don't...We have to deal as is.
So...I didn't intend for this post to be so long...Anyway...Any advice? |
